Toshiba to exit HD DVD

Toshiba Corp is planning to stop production of equipment compatible with the HD DVD format for high-definition video, allowing the competing Blu-Ray camp a free run, public broadcaster NHK reported on Saturday.

Can any one say Beta? So glad now that I didn't waste any money on a HD DVD player.
My husband and I had our hopes on Blu-Ray being the one to last. He loves his PS3. When the new upgradeable Blu-Ray players are out I am sure we will buying one for the living room.
