The Borne Ultimatum -
Loved it. I thought it was really well done and entertaining. I liked it more then the second instalment but not as much as the first. Matt Damon is perfect for these movies.
Death Sentence -
Wicked ! Very over the top. Extremely violent and depressing. Yet I was glued to it. If you can handle the violence it's worth the rent. It's just not one to watch right before going to bed. My husband and I both tossed and turned a lot that night.
The Game Plan -
My eight year old daughter piked this movie for our family movie night. We all piled in the living room with popcorn and watched it together. It's not easy to find a movie we all can enjoy but I think this one made our list. Even my husband said it wasn't bad. It's a lot of fun for the kids with out being too silly or torturous for the parents.

We are at my sisters for the night. I love it that we live in the same city, about a three minute drive between houses. We are really close. Our kids 8 & 9 are in the basement playing X Box and with their Webkinz, our husbands are in the living room, a.k.a. "the man cave" playing PS3 while my sister and I are hanging out in the kitchen chit chatting and surfing the net on our laptops. You can hear laughing coming from each room. Our office has been pretty quiet so I have today off. I am waiting for Allison to come home from a half day of school and then we have a list of errands to run this afternoon. One being a trip to the video store. I promised her a family movie night tonight with hot dogs or pizza for dinner. Everything tonight is her choice. I try to let her plan an evening for all of us at least once every six weeks. It's always a good time and it's been a while. Labels: daily bs, family, movies

Very cool ! I hope the other cable stations are soon to follow. I hate being a whole season behind while waiting for shows like Weeds and Dexter to come out on DVD.
When I left for work this morning my neighborhood was like a ghost town. Most week days I see at least four other neighbors warming up their cars and leaving for work at the same time I do. Not today. I drove away feeling super jealous and sorry for myself that I had to be out in the cold and not still sleeping in my nice warm bed like every one else seemed to be.
But honestly today turned out to be one of the best Mondays I have had in a long time. We have been so busy here in the office that the hours have just zoomed by. I love that. So I guess I am done feeling sorry for myself. Well, for today anyway.
Woke up to 7 degrees and some snow on the ground. Burrr... I see more movies and video game playing happening here today. It's too bad I have to run out to the store for Diet coke (I am totally addicted) or we would be like total "shut ins" this weekend.

I see her and just like with my own daughters, I just can't believe how much I love her.
It's been such a nice and relaxing Saturday so far. I was up early this morning with our granddaughter who spent the night. She is six months old today and just the most beautiful and sweetest baby girl in the world.

Allison, our eight year old has been on the Wii most of the morning playing Happy Feet and Mario. My husband who had to work really early this morning is home, on the couch napping in the middle of everything.
It's too cold to go out any where so I think we'll just keep doing what we are doing and stay in all day just hanging out together. Movies, video games and in our PJ's all day. The perfect Saturday to me.

My daughter and two of her little friends are in our basement right now singing Happy Birthday to one of her Webkinz. They even have cupcakes. It's crazy.
My house smells so good right now. I have a roast in the oven baking with potatoes, carrots, mushrooms and ton of onions. I don't cook very often these days so when I do I try to go all out. I also made fresh bread and have a pecan pie ready for dessert. Hows that for a computer geekymom?

I am so in love! When I took it out of the box last night I actually had tears in my eyes. I have always wanted something like this all of my own. No sharing! I'll be spending the rest of the day uploading my iTunes and playing around with all of the settings. I already have the perfect Sex & The City wall paper up.

Soup, there it is !
I am back from taking the girls to the movies and am on the couch with my laptop. I saw it on my dresser looking all sad and neglected and thought, what the heck I am giving it a try, ya never know. And tada I am back online!
It must be a short or some thing because my husband hasn't even had time to really check it out yet.
No matter what it is I am happy right now. It's been a long few days with out it. I may never turn this baby off again.

I am taking my daughter and her best girlfriend to the movies tonight to see The Alvin & The chipmunks Movie. She is so excited. She was worried since she spent most of her holiday vacation being sick that she would be the only third grader to return to school that still hadn't seen this movie. Its first partnership, announced Wednesday night, is with the South Korean manufacturer LG Electronics to stream movies and other programming to LG’s high-definition televisions.
The partnership will extend a novel feature from Netflix, announced a year ago, that allows paying subscribers to watch any of 6,000 movies and television shows on its Web site free. But that service can be accessed only with a personal computer.
Reed Hastings, chief executive of Netflix, said he hoped to strike other such deals and that Netflix would soon be viewed as a movie channel that might appear on myriad devices.
“We want to be integrated on every Internet-connected device, game system, high-definition DVD player and dedicated Internet set-top box,” he said. “Eventually, as TVs have wireless connectivity built into them, we’ll integrate right into the television.”

Our laptop stop working this afternoon. Out of the blue it just can't find a wireless connection. My husband checked all the usual issues and thinks it could be the wireless switch has gone bad. It's less then a year old so I am pretty pissed off about it. Thank goodness we are blessed with three other computers in the house or I would be a real mess right now. We spent last night at my sister's house ringing in the new year with dinner, a few rounds of Scene it, the new movie edition and a couple of drinks. It was a good time and we didn't get home until some where around 3:00 am.
I am glad we have no real plans for today because I am feeling pretty old and slow as a result. Our daughter (8) is already asking to be online to play Webkinz and my brother in law just called for my husband to log on to play some PS3. As for me, I see the couch, the blanket and a movie in my near future.
Then I am planning to toss a ham in the oven and whip up some cheesy potato's some time this afternoon. Who says I can't be domestic ?
